Infrastructure

Manchester Metrolink

A tram/light rail system in Greater Manchester. The network has 99 stops along 65 miles of standard-gauge track, making it the most extensive light rail system in the UK.

The Thames Tideway

A 16 mile tunnel running mainly under the tidal section of the River Thames through central London to capture, store and convey most of the raw sewage and rainwater, which currently overflows into the river. Clean water will then be released in the River Thames.

The Channel Tunnel

The only fixed link between the island of Great Britain and the European mainland. The 50.45 kilometre railway tunnel connects Folkestone with Coquelles beneath the English Channel at the Strait of Dover.
